Growing Up

I am 41, and I have two lovely children, whose pictures you can see in this blog. I am lucky to have them. They are both lovely and, as far as I can tell, well-adjusted beings. But, as I watch them mature, I think that I learn more from them then they learn from me.

They have taught me how to set limits with others. They have taught me to accept others for what they are. They have taught me that people can change, if you persevere. They have taught me to be consistent between word and deed. They have taught me to be reliable. They have taught me to communicate my plans to others early. In short, they are teaching me maturity.

I did not expect that raising children would be about growing up--my growing up. So thank you Emily and Josh, you are the best teachers I have ever had.

My First Post

Hello Readers,

This is my first experiment with Blogging. Maybe I will make some new friends. Maybe I will annoy some people. Who knows.

My interests are varied, and I am not sure yet what I will focus on. Maybe I will just tell my story to the world. As my life turns...Don't worry, you are not likely to get dizzy.
